As we age many body processes do become less efficient. Similarly the cooling system in the body becomes less effective. In the cooling process the heart needs to pump the blood to skin surface to cool down.

The heart becomes weak as we age and cannot do this effectively. Adding on to this, the blood vessels may not be able to dilate as much hence adding extra difficult in transporting the blood.
